•In order to fill in the Intrastat statistical declaration, starting with reference month January 2024, the Combined Nomenclature has been changed: as for 2024 came into force a new version – NC8 2024.

•The order of NIS President No. 1539 of 25.10.2023 on the setting up the statistical thresholds for collecting statistical information on intra-EU trade with goods in 2024, was published in Official Journal of Romania, Part I, No. 1041/16.11.2023.

•In order to fill in the Intrastat statistical declaration, starting with reference month January 2023, the Combined Nomenclature has been changed: as for 2023 came into force a new version – NC8 2023.

•The order of NIS President No. 1493 of 18.10.2022 on the setting up the statistical thresholds for collecting statistical information on intra-EU trade with goods in 2023, was published in Official Journal of Romania, Part I, No. 1044/28.10.2022.

•The order of NIS President No. 1623 of 25.11.2022 regarding the approval of the Filling in Standards of the Intrastat Statistical Declaration, was published in Official Journal of Romania, Part I, No. 1265/29.12.2022.

•Law no. 422/2006 concerning the organization and functioning of the statistical system of international trade in goods was amended by Ordinance no. 5/2022 amending Law no. 422/2006 concerning the organization and functioning of the statistical system of international trade in goods.

• The order of NIS President No. 5 of 07.01.2022 regarding the approval of the Filling in Standards of the Intrastat Statistical Declaration, was published in Official Journal of Romania, Part I, No. 72/25.01.2022.

• The order of NIS President No. 773 of 01.11.2021 on the setting up the statistical thresholds for collecting statistical information on intra-EU trade with goods in 2022, was published in Official Journal of Romania, Part I, No. 1091/16.11.2020.

• In the filling in the Intrastat statistical declaration starting with reference month January 2022 - the following nomenclatures have been changed:

– Combined Nomenclature, as for 2022 came into force a new version – NC8 2022.

– Geonomenclator - The nomenclature of countries and territories has been amended to align with the provisions of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1470 of 12 October 2020 on the nomenclature of countries and territories for European statistics on international trade in goods and geographical breakdown for other business statistics.

– Nature of transaction - As of January 2022, a new version of the nomenclature used for the nature of the transaction has entered into force.

• In the filling in the Intrastat statistical declaration starting with reference month January 2021 - the following nomenclatures have been changed:

– Combined Nomenclature, as for 2021 came into force a new version – NC8 2021;

– Geonomenclator - the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland, which is part of the EU-UK Withdrawal Agreement, will become applicable on 1 January 2021. Member States will need to continue to use the Intrastat system to collect and produce data on trade in goods with Northern Ireland;

– Delivery terms - the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has launched an update of Incoterms 2020, respectively the international trade conditions for the sale of goods. The modified refers to the change of the delivery term DAT (Delivered at Terminal) to DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded).

• Ordinul Presedintelui INS nr. 1129 din 12.11.2020 privind aprobarea Normelor de completare a Declaratiei statistice Intrastat a fost publicat in Monitorul Oficial al Romaniei, Partea I, nr. 1237/16.12.2020

• National Institute of Statistics (NIS) ROMANIA understands the difficulties that our respondents are facing during this period and we are aware that responding to statistical surveys may not be a priority at this moment.
